Disneyland Paris | News: LEGO store coming to Disney Village

It is with deepest pride, and greatest pleasure, that we proudly present...a new store. A Lego Store.

A job post for a manager for a store "with close proximity to Disneyland Paris" has been posted, it also explicitly states that the store will be in the "Disney Village" area of Marne-la-Vallee. Candidates are required to be fluent in English which all Cast Members must be at Disneyland Paris. Although these Lego Store employees won't be cast Members they do need to speak English for international visitors so it all makes sense.

The Lego Store is billed as being the largest Lego Store in Europe and is expected to be similar to the Downtown Disney store in Walt Disney World, Florida. Here's a video of what that one is like:

You should expect something similar, albeit smaller, in Paris.

The store will most likely be replacing Hollywood Pictures, which will close in late February/March for a June/July opening of the new store.

This is all part of the regeneration of the Disney Village area with an emphasis on replacing many of the Disney stores with other brands - now that Disney has the World of Disney Store, the requirement for all the smaller stores is gone and Disneyland Paris is looking at replacing them over the next 3 years, leasing out the spaces to other brands which fit in with the Disney target market.

Thanks to Disney Central Plaza (a french Disney forum) for digging up the info.
