Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
How much French do I need to know?
Every Cast Member at the resort speaks English so the language barrier is not a problem when talking to Cast Members. Knowing the basics is really helpful though and people do appreciate it if you say “Bonjour” and “Merci” and then switch to english, or say “Parlez-vous Anglais?” [pronounced par-lay-voo-zarn-glay] for “Do you speak english?”
What currency do they use?
Euros. Either exchange before you go into cash or use a debit card but beware of charges from your bank on cards. Travellers checks are not widely accepted.
Is there a time difference?
Yes. France is one hour ahead of the UK. 1pm in the UK is 2pm in France. Set your watches when you get there so that you don’t miss your flight/train/ferry back.
Can I re-enter a park?
Sure. Just ask a Cast Member to stamp your hand on the way out. On the way in scan your hand under the ultraviolet light and pop your ticket in. If the park is full to capacity you will not be allowed in.
Where can I find characters?
Many characters have meet and greets, though these do vary from season to season. Characters usuallly are scheduled to appear at a certain time and place, pick up and check your park schedule on the way in (get one from under the train station) which includes the character times there. Sometimes you’ll find random characters too roaming the parks ready for a photo opportunity or to say hi.
